First you need to understand that it is not easy to lose weight. Your first step should involve creating a diet that has a deficit of calories. One calorie should be equal to 3,500 calories and this is almost same as 500 calories in a day. It is possible to engage in a combination of exercises and ensure that you have cut calories. A good idea would be to contact a doctor or a nutritionist to find a calorie count that is more specific but you should avoid going below a level of 1200 as this will only serve to slow down your metabolism rate.

It is advisable to ensure that you are monitoring your intake of calories in an accurate way. Consider the calories amount that you are consuming every day. A good idea would be to work with a food journal or even using some weight-loss apps. You will need to note down everything that you put in your mouth even a snack that you pick from your colleagues desk. In case you wake up late, it would be advisable to consume a snack after diner but you should ensure that you finish it at least one or 2 hours before going to bed so as to avoid digestive issues.
